The Transition into Career-hood

Since graduating massage therapy at Mohawk College, it has been a stressful time trying to figure out what kind of RMT career I would like to have. Trying to figure out the in's and out's of becoming an RMT, what the government needs from me, what the college of massage therapists needs from me, costs of everything, do I have enough money to even start this career I worked so hard to achieve, can I work in other provinces in the meantime while I am waiting to be registered in Ontario - all of these thoughts just bubbling over the top of my already busy life. Not only were these things needed to be planned, but also put into action, all while working a completely different job teaching people from all over Canada different levels of Red Cross certifications. I love this job too, but really, I think I just love people. I love taking my experiences, knowledge, passions and put it out into the world for all to use and enjoy. I want to make the planet better.
I feel that sometimes my dream of making the world a better place, big or small, is the motivation I need in order for me to get through any of the tough times I would have along the way. Even though the process of becoming an RMT was harder than I was led to believe, I did it, and I can't wait to start working. Remember, in order to appreciate the good we need to experience the bad/difficult. Until next time!
